All POKE + KEISTER products are handmade in the USA, using materials that are 100% produced in the USA, or sourced from U.S. owned and operated businesses. This is very hard to do, and we’re proud to be doing it.
With the exception of custom designs or prototypes that are made with experimental fabrics and notions, we will not sell products made from materials sourced from anywhere other than U.S. owned and operated businesses.
-
we designs products from scratch, using hard-to-get materials sourced from the USA. this mean we can’t guarantee consistent availability of raw materials from our suppliers, or that our design methods will always remain the same.
as FABRIC AND NOTION availability shifts and sewing methods develop, color shades, material and designs will SHIFT AS WELL. only significant changes will be reflected in product photos and descriptions.

While wax does need occasional maintenance, it is not expected your product will need a repair. but things happen. When you send your product in, it will get the care and the fix it needs, and when you get it back it will have a little scar – but it’ll be prettier for it.
in the name of durability and sustainability, One year after purchasing a canvas product, ship it back to us and we’ll re-wax and repair your product for free.
for details, contact us at rewax-repair@poke-keister.com with the subject line “R&R x (Your order confirmation #)”,

When exposed to concentrated amounts of water, there will be spotting. This does not mean the wax has been removed – the canvas is still water-resistant. To return heavily spotted wax to its original form, heat the area with a blow dryer.

a good tote bag is essential for living in new york. as an avid cook, a knife roll and a good apron is a must. when working with wood, i really dig my waxed shop apron (with leather accents and magnets sewn into custom pockets). and of course, i’m incessantly jotting notes, so there is never not a notebook in my back pocket.
but, i gotta go with the small and mighty pouches. i’m more organized than people realize, and i love everything having it’s place — especially when it’s essentials that I use all day, every day.
for their functionality and durability alone, the pouches are great, but i really dig the feel and sound (it’s subtle) of the sail cloth. originally, i only wanted to work with canvas, but i’m glad i came around to this material.

YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
‘DON’T LET THE BASTARDS GET YOU DOWN’ CAN BE CREDITED TO kris kristofferson, the brits during wwii and just about anyone whose got some grit to them.
‘keep giving a damn’, can be credited to just about anyone who has ever cared about anything.
the meaning of these combined phrases are in the words, and they act as both a personal motto for jordan and poke + keister. it’s woven into the label of our products, faces the user, and is meant to provide a little oomph when it’s read.
